Terms of service

These terms apply between Rank Monthly BV, Kapelweg 12, 3951 AC Maarn, the Netherlands ("Rank Monthly", "we") and the business or publisher that uses Rank Monthly ("you"). Last updated 27 October 2026.

Rank Monthly is for business use only. By creating an account you accept these terms on behalf of your organization, and you confirm you may do so. If you agree an order form or a plan with us, it forms part of these terms; where it differs from these terms, the order form wins. Your own purchase conditions don't apply.

Requesting a demo creates no account, booking or payment. These terms apply from the moment you create an account.

1. What Rank Monthly does

Rank Monthly matches businesses with publishers and books placements: positions in existing articles and lists, new articles and posts, and newsletter and LinkedIn placements. We write the content from the facts a business gives us, publish it where the publisher allows, check that each placement stays live, and report its results every month.

Autopilot is on by default: within the budget and rules you set, we book, write and publish for you. You can switch autopilot off at any time, and then nothing goes out until you approve it.

2. Your account

  • Give us correct information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account and for the people you give access to.
  • Tell us at hello@rankmonthly.com as soon as you think someone used your account without permission.

3. Businesses: bookings, payment and cancellation

  • Bookings. Every placement shows its price, its term and its end date before you book it, or before autopilot books it within your budget.
  • Prices and fees. You pay the prices and fees shown in the app or in your order form when you book. Prices exclude VAT.
  • Payment held until live. You pay one invoice a month. We hold the payment for each placement until the placement is verified live. If a placement doesn't go live, you don't pay for it: we credit or refund what you paid for it.
  • Lost placements. If a live placement is removed or changes in a way that matters during its term, you get a credit for the days it was missing, or a replacement placement.
  • Renewal. A placement renews at the end of its term unless you, or your autopilot settings, stop it before the renewal date. We show renewals in the app before they happen.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel a booking at no cost until it goes live. A live placement runs until the end of its term. A plan ends at the end of the billing period in which you cancel it.
  • Refunds. Apart from the credits and refunds in this section, amounts you paid are not refundable.
  • Late payment. If an invoice is unpaid 14 days after its due date, we may pause new bookings and renewals until it is paid.

4. Publishers: spots, publishing and payouts

  • Your channels. You may only connect sites, newsletters and profiles that you own or control.
  • Your data. Your traffic and results come from the sources you connect, such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics. You don't type them in, and you don't change them.
  • Your spots and prices. You decide which spots are for sale and at what price. You can accept our price suggestions or set your own.
  • Keeping placements live. You keep each placement live and unchanged for its full term. If you can't, tell us as soon as possible, so we can offer the business a credit or a replacement.
  • Payouts. We pay you every month for the placements you held that month and that were verified live, after the business has paid us, minus the fees shown in the app or your order form.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for the taxes on what you earn.
  • Labeling. You decide how paid placements are labeled on your channels, and you are responsible for following the disclosure rules that apply to you. Rank Monthly can add a sponsored label and mark paid links as sponsored for you.

5. Content

  • A business is responsible for the facts, claims, names and logos it gives us, and gives us and the publisher the right to use them in its placements.
  • A publisher keeps ownership of its site and articles, and gives us the right to write, publish and update the placements it accepts.
  • Content goes out after the checks set in your account. With autopilot off, nothing is published without approval.
  • We may refuse or remove content or a booking that breaks the law, these terms or a platform's rules.

6. What you may not do

  • Promote anything illegal, or make claims that are false or misleading.
  • Use Rank Monthly to publish fake reviews, or to hide that a placement is paid where the rules require you to show it.
  • Copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or access it with scripts other than our own integrations.
  • Interfere with the service or with other users' accounts.

7. No guaranteed rankings

We book and keep placements in channels that already reach buyers, and we report what each one does. Where a page ranks in Google, and what AI assistants answer, is decided by Google and the assistants. We don't promise positions, traffic, clicks or mentions in AI answers. Results come from third-party data, which can change or be delayed.

8. Data and privacy

Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data on this site. When we process personal data for you in the service, we do so under a data processing agreement, which we sign with you on request. Google data you connect is read-only.

9. Confidentiality

Each side keeps the other side's non-public information confidential and uses it only for working together under these terms. This doesn't apply to information that is already public or that the law requires to be shared.

10. Our service and your feedback

Rank Monthly owns the service, its software and its design. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Liability

  • Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost data.
  • Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid or owe to Rank Monthly in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.
  • These limits don't apply to damage caused by intent or gross negligence, or to what the law doesn't allow us to limit.
  • Each side covers the other against third-party claims caused by the content or channels it provides.

12. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time; section 3 says what happens to running placements and plans. Either side may end the agreement if the other side seriously breaks these terms and doesn't fix it within 30 days of written notice. We may suspend an account straight away if it is used for something illegal or harmful. When the agreement ends, we settle payouts and credits for placements that were live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We email you about changes at least 30 days before they apply, and we tell you before any change to your prices or fees. If you don't agree, you can stop using Rank Monthly before the change applies.

14. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn't apply. Disputes go to the competent court in Midden-Nederland, the Netherlands.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms go to hello@rankmonthly.com. For larger organizations, we can agree a separate contract on request.
